Updated guidelines for fruit products

The revision of the guidelines includes the inclusion of cranberries and apple puree, the latter being described as an apple product with a creamy to coarse texture with a thick, flowing viscosity and without added sugar.

In addition, the minimum sugar content requirement for apple sauce was deleted. Furthermore, the expert committee "Fruit, Vegetables, Mushrooms" has defined the defect descriptions for some fruits in more detail or revised them in order to better reflect the specific characteristics of the fruits.  Furthermore, in addition to updating the legal references, the guidelines were restructured and aligned with other guidelines that had already been revised.

In the next conferences, the expert committee will deal with the revision of the guidelines for vegetable products.

If you have any questions about the new guidelines, we will be happy to advise you.
