ifp celebrates topping-out ceremony: new building for 150 staff members

ifp Institut für Produktqualität GmbH celebrated the topping-out of its new laboratory and production facility last Wednesday.

The four-storey building on Wagner-Régeny-Straße near Adlershof city train station has an effective floor space of 5,000 sqm and will be operated by the end of this year. It provides a modern, contemporary working environment for ifp’s 150 staff. The Senator for Economics, Technology and Research, Cornelia Yzer, held the opening speech at the topping-out ceremony.

“It was our wish to make use of the potential of a high-tech location like Adlershof that made us decide to move from Steglitz to Adlershof", explained Dr. Wolfgang Weber, managing director of ifp Institut für Produktqualität GmbH on the occasion of the topping-out ceremony. "We’re an innovation centre for modern food analysis. Our services and patented technologies attract great interest all over the world. This new building will secure our further growth.”

Finally, Hardy Rudolf Schmitz, managing directore of WISTA-MANAGEMENT GMBH, emphasized the Institute’s significance for the location: "ifp provides us with two important stimuli: the company is steadily growing, as is Adlershof. And apart from that, it adds to our location’s expertise, helping it to expand into the “Analytic City Adlershof”.
