Dr. Wolfgang Weber, General Manager

Wolfgang WeberWolfgang Weber, born in Baden-Württemberg (Germany) in June 1962, studied Food Chemistry at TU Berlin, where, after receiving his state examination, he completed his PhD in the field of immunochemistry under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Klaus Rubach. During the following years he gathered professional experience in food analytics as well as research and development. In December 2004 Mr Weber founded ifp Institut für Produktqualität as its owner and general manager. Business operations began in spring 2005, when Mr Weber invented and developed microbiological vitamin tests in ready-to-use format. Along with his professional life, Mr Weber is part of several working groups and also a member of various branch associations.

 

Carolin Poweleit, General Manager
Food Chemist

Carolin PoweleitCarolin Poweleit, born in Berlin, completed her training as a biological/chemical technical assistant in 2002. She then studied food chemistry at the Technische Universität Berlin and obtained a degree as state-certified food chemist. Her subsequent employment at ifp in 2009 in the field of research and development and later in project management (head of testing) have qualified her for a management position in the field of testing and analysis at ifp. Since November 2014 she has been supporting the management as authorized signatory. In October 2016 she was appointed General Manager.

 

Cordula Tschubel, authorized signatory
Food Chemist

Cordula TschubelCordula Tschubel was born in 1985 in Lower Saxony and studied food chemistry at the TU Berlin. In 2009 she completed her thesis on molecular biological detection of food allergens in the Food Safety Department of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR). In 2010 she joined ifp's R&D department where she was responsible for the development of allergen rapid tests. In 2012, when the company started a new branch in Berlin-Adlershof focussing on the analysis of nutritional value, residues and contaminants, she took on the position of site manager. After the move of the headquarters to Adlershof was completed in 2014, she became technical manager and became responsible for all the chemistry laboratories in the building. In August 2017 she became an authorized signatory.

René Hofer,
Head of Purchasing Department

Rene HoferRené Hofer was born in Berlin in 1980 and completed his training as a management assistant in wholesale and foreign trade in a renowned laboratory supplies company. He stayed committed to this area for 15 years and gained a lot of experience in inside sales and field sales. In 2015 he started working for ifp, where he became responsible for the development of a centralised procurement system. In doing so, he optimized the economic aspects of the procurement processes of the various laboratory and production areas. He also coordinates the areas of storage and utilities management. In August 2017 he became an authorized signatory.
