Wolfgang WeberWolfgang Weber, born in Baden-Württemberg (Germany) in June 1962, studied Food Chemistry at TU Berlin, where, after receiving his state examination, he completed his PhD in the field of immunochemistry under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Klaus Rubach. During the following years he gathered professional experience in food analytics as well as research and development. In December 2004 Mr Weber founded ifp Institut für Produktqualität as its owner and general manager. Business operations began in spring 2005, when Mr Weber invented and developed microbiological vitamin tests in ready-to-use format. Along with his professional life, Mr Weber is part of several working groups and also a member of various branch associations.

Meanwhile Mr. Weber has become a member of the Economic Senate. As a senator, Mr. weber advises and supports the German Federal Government in the working committees food and agriculture as well as health and research.


Carolin Poweleit, General Manager

Carolin PoweleitCarolin Poweleit, born in Berlin, completed her training as a biological/chemical technical assistant in 2002. She then studied food chemistry at the Technische Universität Berlin and obtained a degree as state-certified food chemist. Her subsequent employment at ifp in 2009 in the field of research and development and later in project management (head of testing) have qualified her for a management position in the field of testing and analysis at ifp. Since November 2014 she has been supporting the management as authorized signatory. In October 2016 she was appointed General Manager.
